Letter of the Week
Teach the ABC’s, be active and try great tasting foods!
Introduce or reinforce the «Letter of the Week» using foods
and activities from A to Z. Serve nutritious snacks starting with the
«Letter of the Week». Participate in activities starting with
the «Letter of the Week». You can even chose a random letter
and select a food starting with that letter and play the «Mystery
Food Adventure«. Try activities and foods that may be related
to the Aboriginal culture.
Some ideas for foods just to get you started:
a = acorn squash
b = bannock
c = corn
d = deer meat
e = eggs
f = fish
g = goose
Some activity ideas to
get you started:
a = aerobics
b = baseball
c = canoeing
d = dancing
e = elder hike
f = football
g = gardening
Once you get started have the children come up with activities and foods
to go along with the «Letter of the Week».
